A new powerful pain killer medicine has been recently developed by Chinese scientists. The medicine has no name but the experts believe that it can help the patients to get rid of pain symptoms in different forms of arthritis and arthrosis, asthma, neuralgia and even colds. A unique basis for this new analgesic drug is poison of nonprotein origin – tetrodotoxin. The poison is produced from tetrodona substance that is held in the body of a famous dog-fish (or fugu) and is said to be the most dangerous poison of neuroparalytic action. It is in 25 times stronger than curare substance and in 275 times more poisonous than any other known cyanide. The dog-fish contains a large amount of poison in its liver, skin, intestines and ovaries. In some countries fugu is famous for being a real food delicacy but only if it has proper and attentive preparation before. Unfortunately the scientists do not know the antidote for Tetrodotoxin, in accordance to them it simply does not exist. A new anesthetic has not been started selling on the pharmaceutical markets of the world yet. But independent experts have already recommended everyone to be careful while using it.
